    I read this whole book and it had some good stuff in there; however, it was very boring and being that i never applied any of the stuff I didn't come away with much, but I believe that if you actually apply the techniques seriously you have much to benefit from. I'm just warning that it's boring and you have to be motivated about it to get anything out of it. If you are then get it.

I would recommend reading Patterns of the Techniques of Milton H Erickson after getting a grounding in the concepts from this book.

It was pretty easy to get through about the first half....very easy to understand and very interesting subject matter. It is valuable to understand yourself better as well as understanding those around you better. Amazon has great deals on this book and you should be able to pick it up pretty cheap....especially in soft cover. There is a new version of this book now: Introducing NLP: Psychological Skills for Understanding and Influencing People ....not sure how much more info is in it, but the theories would all be the same.
